Hospital Discharge
What Determines When I'm Discharged?
If order for you to be discharged from the hospital,
you must meet all of the following criteria:
- You are tolerating an oral diet
- Your pain is adequately controlled with oral medications
- You are disconnected from your intravenous line
Since everyone's experience in the hospital is slightly
different, we cannot predict with absolute certainty
how many days you will spend in the hospital after surgery.
However, the typical hospital stays for weight loss
surgery are as follows:
