Background
Rebecca
Solomon is the Nutrition Coordinator of the Program
for Surgical Weight Loss at the Mount Sinai School of
Medicine. She provides nutritional counseling to patients
before and after weight loss surgery, and runs the Mount
Sinai Weight Loss Surgery Support Group.
After completing a Bachelor of Arts degree
in Clinical Psychology at Tufts University, Rebecca
completed her Master of Science degree in Clinical Nutrition
and Dietetics at New York University, and Clinical Dietetic
Internship at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein
School of Medicine. She is certified as a Registered
Dietitian and licensed in New York State as a Certified
Dietitian Nutritionist.

Memberships and Affiliations
Prior to joining the Program for Surgical Weight
Loss, Rebecca worked with oncology, psychiatry and traumatic
brain injury patients as a senior clinical dietitian
at Mount Sinai Hospital. Rebecca was featured in Star
Jones' book Shine commenting on the cornerstones of
healthy eating and the importance of balanced nutrition.
Additionally, she has been featured on Fox News and
quoted in various publications, discussing weight loss,
fad diets, and a host of other nutrition-related topics.
